Evidence (Affidavits and Statutory Declarations) (Amendment) Regulations 2004
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe certain classifications in the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office for the purposes of witnessing the signing of statutory declarations and the swearing and taking of affidavits.
2.Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 152(2) of the Evidence Act 1958.
3.Prescribed classifications
In regulation 5 of the Evidence (Affidavits and Statutory Declarations) Regulations 1998[1], after paragraph (a) insert—
"(ab)Solicitor, Senior Solicitor, Principal Solicitor and Principal Solicitor (Team Leader);".
