Crimes (DNA Database) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Crimes (DNA Database) Regulations 2002[1] to prescribe further laws as corresponding laws.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 464ZJ of the Crimes Act 1958.

3.Corresponding laws

In regulation 3 of the Crimes (DNA Database) Regulations 2002—

(a)in paragraph (e), for "Territory." substitute "Territory;";

(b)after paragraph (e) insert

"(f)Chapter 8A of the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 of Queensland;

(g)the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Act 1998 of South Australia.".
