Road Safety (Vehicles) (Miscellaneous Fees) Regulations 2004
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to—
(a)amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 to—
(i)increase search and extract fees and certain other miscellaneous fees; and
(ii)make minor amendments of a statute law revision nature relating to the description of the general fees set out in Schedule 6; and
(iii)alter the manner in which the fee for books of certificates of roadworthiness is prescribed; and
(b)amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) (Registration Fees) Regulations 2004 to revoke a superseded amendment that is yet to come into operation that relates to the prescription of the fee for books of certificates of roadworthiness.
2.Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3.Commencement
(1)These Regulations (except regulations 4, 5 and 6) come into operation on 30 June 2004.
(2)Regulations 4, 5 and 6 come into operation on 1 July 2004.
4.Supply of certificates of roadworthiness and test reports
For regulation 619(a) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1] substitute—
"(a)in books of original forms and test reports, on payment of the relevant fee in Schedule 6; or".
5.Increase in search and extract fees
In Schedule 5 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999—
(a)in item 1, for "$7.20" substitute "$7.30";
(b)in item 2, for "$7.20" substitute "$7.30";
(c)in item 3, for "$13.30" substitute "$13.60";
(d)in item 4, for "$7.20" substitute "$7.30";
(e)in item 5(i), for "$7.20" substitute "$7.30";
(f)in item 5(ii), for "$13.30" substitute "$13.60".
6.Increase in certain miscellaneous fees and minor statute law revision amendments to Schedule 6
In Schedule 6 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999—
(a) omit "$" appearing in Column 4 before item 1;
(b)in item 1, in Column 4, for "386.00" substitute "$394.60";
(c)in item 2, in Column 4, for "87.00" substitute "$89.00";
(d)in item 3, in Column 4, for "13.00" substitute "$13.30";
(e)in item 4, in Column 4, for "10.30" substitute "$10.50";
(f)in item 5, in Column 4, for "3.00" substitute "$3.00";
(g)in item 7, in Column 4, for "80.00" substitute "$81.80";
(h)in item 8, in Column 4, for "33.00" substitute "$33.70";
(i)in item 10, in Column 4, for "48.00" substitute "$49.00";
(j)in item 11, in Column 4, for "48.00" substitute "$49.00";

7.Revocation of superseded amendment being made by the Road Safety (Vehicles) (Registration Fees) Regulations 2004
Regulation 5 of the Road Safety (Vehicles) (Registration Fees) Regulations 2004[2] is revoked.
