Chattel Securities (Miscellaneous Fees) Regulations 2004

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Chattel Securities Regulations 1997 to increase certain fees for applications for—

(a)registration of security interests in registrable goods; and

(b)certificates containing particulars of the information contained in the register.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 28 of the Chattel Securities Act 1987.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2004.

4.Increase in fees for certain applications for registration of security interests

In regulation 7 of the Chattel Securities Regulations 1997[1]—

(a)in paragraphs (a)(ii) and (b)(ii), for "$6.00" substitute "$6.10";

(b)in paragraph (c)(ii), for "$10.50" substitute "$10.70".

5.Increases in fees for certain applications for certificates

In regulation 10 of the Chattel Securities Regulations 1997—

(a)in paragraph (a)(ii), for "$7.00" substitute "$7.10";

(b)in paragraph (b)(ii), for "$8.00" substitute "$8.10".
