Electricity Safety Act 1998

Electricity Safety (Infringements) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Electricity Safety (Infringements) Regulations 2000 to—

(a)prescribe further offences under the Electricity Safety Act 1998 and the regulations under that Act as offences in respect of which infringement notices may be served;

(b)omit references to offences under the Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Regulations 1999 that have been revoked.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 157 of the Electricity Safety Act 1998.

3.Provisions under which infringement notices may be served

In regulation 5 of the Electricity Safety (Infringements) Regulations 2000[1]—

(a)in paragraph (a), after "78," insert "83A(1), 83A(3), 83B(1),";

(b)in paragraph (d), for "15, 17(1) and (2)" substitute "17(2)";

(c)in paragraph (e), after "414(1), (2) and (3)" insert ", 438(1), 439, 440(1) and (3), 441(1), 442(1), 443(1) and 444";

(d)in paragraph (f), after "42(1), (2)(a) and (2)(b)," insert "43(1),".
