Magistrates' Court General (Further Infringements) Regulations 2004

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe further provisions under which infringement notices may be issued in order that the enforcement procedure under Schedule 7 to the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 may be used.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 140 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.

3.Additional provisions under which infringement notices may be served

In regulation 1203 of the Magistrates' Court General Regulations 2000[1]—

(a)after paragraph (o) insert

"(oa)section 15A(2) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986 and regulation 24(1) and (5) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 1997[2];";

(b)after paragraph (p) insert

"(pa)section 18(1) of the Summary Offences Act 1966;".
