Land Conservation (Vehicle Control) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Land Conservation (Vehicle Control) Regulations 2003 to limit their application with respect to timber harvesting operations authorised under the Sustainable Forests (Timber) Act 2004.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 3 of the Land Conservation (Vehicle Control) Act 1972.

3.Timber harvesting operations

(1)In regulation 6(3)(d) of the Land Conservation (Vehicle Control) Regulations 2003[1], for "authority." substitute "authority; or".

(2)After regulation 6(3)(d) of the Land Conservation (Vehicle Control) Regulations 2003 insert

"(e)a person undertaking timber harvesting operations that are authorised operations referred to in section 45(2)(a) and (b)(i) of the Sustainable Forests (Timber) Act 2004.".
