Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Amendment) Regulations 2005
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend regulation 50 of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Regulations 1995 to ensure that pharmacists can continue to dispose of a Schedule 8 poison or Schedule 9 poison in accordance with the Regulations.
2.Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 129 and 132B of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981.
3.Exemptions for pharmacists
In regulation 50(1)(e)(i) of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Regulations 1995[1] after "medical practitioner," (wherever occurring) insert "pharmacist,".
