Chattel Securities Act 1987

Chattel Securities (Fees) Regulations 2005

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Chattel Securities Regulations 1997 to increase fees for applications and certificates by 2×5%.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 28 of the Chattel Securities Act 1987.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2005.

4.Increase in fees for application to register a security interest

In regulation 7 of the Chattel Securities Regulations 1997[1]—

(a)in paragraphs (a)(ii) and (b)(ii), for "$6.10" substitute "$6.20";

(b)in paragraph (c)(ii), for "$10.70" substitute "$11.00".

5.Increase in fees for certificates

In regulation 10(1) of the Chattel Securities Regulations 1997—

(a)in paragraph (a)(ii), for "$7.10" substitute "$7.20";

(b)in paragraph (b)(ii), for "$8.10" substitute "$8.30".
