Road Safety Act 1986

Road Safety (Vehicles) (Fees) Regulations 2005

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 to increase certain fees relating to vehicle registration and search, extract and miscellaneous fees by 2×5%.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2005.

4.Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5.Increase in transfer of registration fee

In regulation 237(1)(b) of the Principal Regulations, for "$5.00" substitute "$5.10".

6.Increase in fees for registration and renewal

In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in clause (3)(b), for "$160.50" substitute "$164.50";

(b)in item 2 of the Table, for "$7.00" substitute "$7.10".

7.Increase in search and extract fees

In the Table in Schedule 5 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in items 1 and 2, for "$7.30" substitute "$7.40";

(b)in item 3, for "$13.60" substitute "$13.90";

(c)in items 4 and 5(i), for "$7.30" substitute "$7.40";

(d)in item 5(ii), for "$13.60" substitute "$13.90".

8.Increase in miscellaneous fees

In the Table in Schedule 6 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in item 1, for "$394.60" substitute "$404.40";

(b)in item 2, for "$89.00" substitute "$91.20";

(c)in item 3, for "$13.30" substitute "$13.60";

(d)in item 4, for "$10.50" substitute "$10.70";

(e)in item 7, for "$81.80" substitute "$83.80";

(f)in item 8, for "$33.70" substitute "$34.50";

(g)in items 10, 11 and 12, for "$49.00" substitute "$50.20";

(h)in item 16, for "$124.70" substitute "$127.80".
