The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

PART 1—PRELIMINARY
1.Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are—
(a)to transfer infringements relating to taxi-cabs, passenger vehicles and tow-trucks from the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999 to the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999; and
(b)to update references to ticket and transport infringements as a result of the making of the Transport (Ticketing and Conduct) Regulations 2005, the Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005 and the Transport (Taxi-Cab) Regulations 2005; and
(c)to make other consequential amendments.
2.Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under section 215 of the Transport Act 1983 and section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

PART 2—AMENDMENT OF TRANSPORT (INFRINGEMENTS) REGULATIONS 1999
3.Amendment of definitions
In regulation 104 of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999[1]—
(a)in the definition of "infringement notice", for "regulation 203;" substitute "regulation 203.";
(b)the definition of "PRFR" is revoked.
4.Amendment of regulation 201
In regulation 201 of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999—
(a)in sub-regulation (1), for "Column 3 of the following Table" substitute "Column 1 of the Table in Schedule 2";
(b)in sub-regulation (2)—
(i)for "Column 4 of the following Table" substitute "Column 3 of the Table in Schedule 2";
(ii)for "Column 3 of that Table" substitute "Column 1 of that Table";
(c)in sub-regulation (3), for "Column 3" substitute "Column 1";

5.Amendment of regulation 202

(b)in sub-regulation (1)(b), after "infringement notices" insert "with a code reference number from 3100 to 3224 inclusive".
7.Amendment of regulation 205
In regulation 205(2)(g) of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999, for "regulation 201, 202 or 203" substitute "regulation 203, Schedule 2 or Schedule 3".
