Victorian Institute of Teaching (Elections) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's Deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Victorian Institute of Teaching (Elections) Regulations 2002 to clarify the procedure for counting votes in elections for members of the Council.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 83 of the Victorian Institute of Teaching Act 2001.

3.Counting votes if only one member is to be elected

In regulation 27(6) of the Victorian Institute of Teaching (Elections) Regulations 2002[1], for "excluded" (where secondly occurring) substitute "continuing".
