Transport (Ticketing and Conduct) (Amendment) Regulations 2005
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are to—
(a)provide for the Director of Public Transport to appoint authorised persons;
(b)facilitate national uniformity for heavy vehicle dimensions by increasing the prescribed length of an overdimensional vehicle crossing tracks for which a permit is required from 25 metres to 26 metres.
2.Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 56 and 249B of the Transport Act 1983.
3.Appointment of authorised persons
In regulation 3(1) of the Transport (Ticketing and Conduct) Regulations 2005[1], in the definition of "authorised person", after "Rail Track" insert ", the Director".
4.Prescribed length of an overdimensional vehicle
In regulation 43 of the Transport (Ticketing and Conduct) Regulations 2005—
(a)in sub-regulation (1)(b), for "25" substitute "26";
(b)in sub-regulation (2)(b), for "25" substitute "26".
