Police (Special Constables Revocation) Regulations 2005

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's Deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to revoke regulation 15 of the Police Regulations 2003 as a consequence of amendments to the Police Regulation Act 1958 which introduce new provisions for the appointment of special constables.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 130 of the Police Regulation Act 1958.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on the day on which section 18 of the Investigative, Enforcement and Police Powers Acts (Amendment) Act 2005 comes into operation.

4.Revocation of special constables provisions

In the Police Regulations 2003[1]—

(a)for the heading to Division 3 of Part 2 substitute

"Division 3—Secondment of Members to Other Police Forces";

(b)regulation 15 is revoked.
