Liquor Control Reform Act 1998

Liquor Control Reform (Prescribed Substance) Regulations 2005

The Lieutenant-Governor, having assumed the administration of the government of the State, with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe alcoholic vapour to be liquor for the purposes of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 180 of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 31 December 2005.

4.Substance prescribed as liquor

In regulation 4 of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 1999[1]—

(a)in paragraph (b), for "form." substitute "form;";

(b)after paragraph (b) insert

"(c)vapour that would as a liquid be a beverage with an alcohol content greater than 0×5% by volume at a temperature of 20° Celsius.".
