Road Safety (Vehicles) (Emergency Vehicles) Regulations 2005

The Lieutenant-Governor, having assumed the administration of the government of the State, with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 to provide for certain provisions that apply in respect of certain emergency vehicles to apply to vehicles under the control of the Shepparton Search &. Rescue Squad Inc. and the Echuca and Moama Search and Rescue Squad Inc.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3.Amendment of Schedule 4

In item 18 in the Table in Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1]—

(a)in paragraph (a), after "council" insert


"or the Shepparton Search &. Rescue Squad Inc. or the Echuca and Moama Search and Rescue Squad Inc."; and

(b)in paragraph (b), after "brigade" insert "or Squad"; and

(c)in paragraph (c), after "Authority" insert "or the Shepparton Search &. Rescue Squad Inc. or the Echuca and Moama Search and Rescue Squad Inc.".

4.Amendment of Schedule 8

In clause 3 of Schedule 8 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999, in the definition of "emergency vehicle", after paragraph (c) insert

"(d)a vehicle under the control of the Shepparton Search &. Rescue Squad Inc. or the Echuca and Moama Search and Rescue Squad Inc.;".
