Water (Permanent Transfer of Water Rights) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Water (Permanent Transfer of Water Rights) Regulations 2001 to adjust the limit on transfers out of irrigation areas and districts.

2.Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 228 and 324 of the Water Act 1989.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2006.

4.Limits on transfers out of districts/areas

(1)In regulation 13 of the Water (Permanent Transfer of Water Rights) Regulations 2001[1], for "2%" substitute "4%".

(2)In the heading to Schedule 9 to the Water (Permanent Transfer of Water Rights) Regulations 2001, for "2%" substitute "4%".
