Transport Act 1983
Transport (Infringements) (Amendment) Regulations 2006
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999 to update an anti-smoking offence reference following a change to the substantive offence in the Transport Act 1983.
2.Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 215 of the Transport Act 1983.
3.Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 March 2006.
4.Amendment of Schedule 3
In the Table in Schedule 3 to the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999[1], for—
"s. 222(1) Smoking in carriage or on premises 1×47 3140" substitute—
"s. 222A(1) Smoking in or on a carriage or public transport property 1×47 3140".
