Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) (Professional Costs) Regulations 2006
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to increase the allowances for professional costs which may be awarded to a party in respect of an arbitration under Division 2 of Part 5 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.
2.Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 105(2) and 140 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.
3.Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2006.
4.Amendment to Schedule 3
In Schedule 3 to the Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Regulations 2000[1], in clause 1—
(a)in paragraphs (a) and (c), for "$1065" substitute "$1114";
(b)in paragraphs (b) and (d), for "$1148" substitute "$1201";
(c)in paragraphs (e) and (f), for "$1231" substitute "$1288";
(d)in paragraph (g)—
(i)in sub-paragraph (i) for "$200" substitute "$209";
(ii)in sub-paragraph (ii) for "$250" substitute "$261";
(iii)in sub-paragraph (iii) for "$300" substitute "$314".
