Road Safety (Drivers) (Fees) Regulations 2006

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999 to increase certain general, search and extract fees by 2×5%.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3.Commencement

The Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2006.

4.Increases in general fees

In Schedule 2 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999[1], in the Table of General Fees—

(a)in item 1, for "$142.40" substitute "$146.00";

(b)in item 2, for "$42.00" substitute "$43.00";

(c)in item 3, for "$22.50" substitute "$23.00";

(d)in item 4, for "$10.40" substitute "$10.60";

(e)in item 5, for "$17.70" substitute "$18.10";

(f)in item 7, for "$10.40" substitute "$10.60";

(g)in item 8(a), for "$35.50" substitute "$36.30";

(h)in item 8(b), for "$32.40" substitute "$33.20";

(i)in item 9(a), for "$14.60" substitute "$15.00";

(j)in item 9(b), for "$13.50" substitute "$13.80";

(k)in items 10 and 11, for "$17.70" substitute "$18.10";

(l)in item 12, for "$14.60" substitute "$15.00".

5.Increases in search and extract fees

In Schedule 3 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999, in the Table of Search and Extract Fees—

(a)in items 1 and 2, for "$7.40" substitute "$7.50";

(b)in item 3, for "$13.90" substitute "$14.20";

(c)in items 4 and 5(a), for "$7.40" substitute "$7.50";

(d)in item 5(b), for "$13.90" substitute "$14.20".

6.Correction of references

In Schedule 2 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999, in column 1 of the Table of General Fees—

(a)in item 6, for "601(2)" (where twice occurring) substitute "203(1)";

(b)in items 7, 8 and 9, for "601(2), 601(3)" substitute "203(1)";

(c)in item 7 omit "601(3)" (where second occurring).
