Infringements (General) (Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations 2006

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 to prescribe certain offences under the Transport Act 1983, the Water Industry Act 1994 and the Water Act 1989 as "lodgeable infringement offences" for the purposes of the Infringements Act 2006.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 168 of the Infringements Act 2006.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2007.

4.Amendment of Schedule 3

For item 11 of Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006[1] substitute—

"11.Transport Act 1983

11.1Sections 221X(1)(a), 221X(1)(b), 221X(1)(c), 221X(2)(a), 221X(2)(b), 221X(2)(c), 221ZD(1), 221ZD(2), 221ZE(1), 221ZF(a), 221ZG and 221ZH.

11.2Regulations 36(4), 37, 38(1), 40(1), 40(2)(a), 40(2)(b), 40(2)(c), 40(2)(f), 42(1), 42(2)(a), 42(2)(b), 42(2)(c) and 42(2)(f) of the Transport (Conduct) Regulations 2005[2].

11.3Regulations 8(3), 8(4), 15(1), 15(2), 17(1), 17(2), 20(3), 26(2), 26(4), 27(3), 28(1), 32(2), 33(2), 41(4), 43(2), 43(3), 43(5), 44(8), 45(3) and 45(6)(b) of the Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005[3].

11.4Regulations 6(1), 6(2), 7(2), 8(2), 9(3), 10(3) and 17(1) of the Transport (Ticketing) Regulations 2006[4].
