Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Amendment Regulations 2008

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2003 to increase the maximum amount of an interim award of assistance that may be made by a delegate under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1996.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 72 of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1996.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 21 April 2008.

4Interim awards by delegates

In regulation 4 of the Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2003[1] for "$1000" substitute "$5000".
