Road Safety Act 1986

Road Safety (General) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2008

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999—

(a)to increase the infringement penalty for level crossing offences; and

(b)to amend the infringement description relating to fog light use.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 16 April 2008.

4Amendment of Schedule 4

In Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999[1]—

(a)in the item in respect of code 2024, for "1×65", substitute "5";

(b)in the item in respect of code 2074, after "Operate" insert "any front or".
