Wildlife (Game) (Hunting of Fallow Deer) (Amendment) Regulations 2008
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Wildlife (Game) Regulations 2001 to remove the prohibition on hunting fallow deer on public land in Victoria.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 87 of the Wildlife Act 1975.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Wildlife (Game) Regulations 2001[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4Prohibition on Fallow Deer hunting revoked
Regulation 59 of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
5Schedule 3—Open seasons for game
(1)In Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, for "For the whole of each year.*" substitute "For the whole of each year.".
(2)The note at the foot of Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
6Schedule 4—Bag limits for game
(1)In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations—
(a)for "No limit.*" substitute "No limit.";
(b)for "Cerbus elaphus" substitute "Cervus elaphus".
(2)The note at the foot of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
