Road Safety Act 1986

Road Safety (Vehicles) (Fees Amendment) Regulations 2008

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 to increase certain fees by 3%.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2008.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Fees for transfer of registration

In regulation 237(1)(b) of the Principal Regulations, for "$5.30" substitute "$5.40".

6Fees for registration and renewal of registration

In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, in item 2(b) of the Table, for "$7.30" substitute "$7.50".

7Search and extract fees

In Schedule 5 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in items 1 and 2, for "$7.60" substitute "$7.80";

(b)in item 3, for "$14.50" substitute "$14.90";

(c)in items 4 and 5(i), for "$7.60" substitute "$7.80";

(d)in item 5(ii), for "$14.50" substitute "$14.90".

8Miscellaneous fees

In Schedule 6 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in item 1, for "$424.80" substitute "$437.50";

(b)in item 2, for "$95.70" substitute "$98.50";

(c)in item 3, for "$14.20" substitute "$14.60";

(d)in item 4, for "$11.20" substitute "$11.50";

(e)in item 7, for "$87.90" substitute "$90.50";
