Transport (Taxi-cab Network Service Provider Accreditation Exemptions) (Amendment) Regulations 2008
The Administrator of the State of Victoria as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Transport (Taxi-cab Network Service Provider Accreditation Exemptions) Regulations 2007 to extend, for a certain class of provider of taxi-cab network services, the period of exemption from the requirement to be accredited.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 137E of the Transport Act 1983.
3Exemptions
After regulation 5(1) of the Transport (Taxi-cab Network Service Provider Accreditation Exemptions) Regulations 2007[1] insert—
"(1A)A person to whom subregulation (1) applies who applies to the licensing authority for accreditation as a provider of taxi-cab network services on or before 30 June 2008 is exempt from the requirement to be accredited for the period—
(a)commencing on 1 July 2008; and
(b)ending on the earlier of—
(i)7 days after the licensing authority issues a certificate of accreditation to the person; or
(ii)28 days after the licensing authority notifies the person of the authority's decision refusing to accredit the person; or
(iii)31 March 2009.".
