Infringements (General) (Amendment) Regulations 2008
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 to prescribe certain infringement offences under the Firearms Act 1996, the Graffiti Prevention Act 2007, the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, the Road Management Act 2004 and the Road Safety Act 1986 as "lodgeable infringement offences" for the purposes of the Infringements Act 2006.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 168 of the Infringements Act 2006.
3Commencement
(1)These Regulations, except regulation 7, come into operation on 2 July 2008.
(2)Regulation 7 comes into operation on the day on which section 24 of the Firearms Amendment Act 2007 comes into operation.
4Schedule 3—New items inserted
(1)In Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006[1] after item 3 insert—
"3A Firearms Act 1996
3A.1Sections 40(2), 75(3), 87(5), 87(6), 88, 97, 124(1), 124(2), 124(3), 139.".
(2)In Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 after item 5 insert—
"5A Graffiti Prevention Act 2007
5A.1Sections 7(1) and 10(2).".
(3)In Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 after item 9 insert—
"9AA Road Management Act 2004
9AA.1Sections 60(1), 60(2), 60(3), 60(4), 63, 64, 66(1) and 69(1).".
5Schedule 3—Liquor Control Reform Act 1998
In Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 in item 7.4, for "and 130(3)(b)" substitute "130(3)(b), 148F(1), 148F(2), 148J(1) and 148J(2)".
6Schedule 3—Road Safety Act 1986
(1)In Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 in item 9A.2, after "Rules" (where first occurring) insert "121, 122, 123, 217(1),".
(2)In Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 after item 9A.3 insert—
"9A.4Subject to regulation 702 of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999[2], regulation 211(1) of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 1999, as in force immediately before 1 July 2007.".
7Schedule 3—Firearms Act 1996
After item 3A.1 of Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 insert—
"3A.2Sections 56A(10), 56A(11), 56A(12), 58AAA(7), 58AAA(8) and 58AAA(9).".
