Zoological Parks and Gardens (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2008

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Zoological Parks and Gardens Regulations 2003 to increase the maximum fees payable for entry to zoological parks.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 41 of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Act 1995.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2008.

4Revocation

The Zoological Parks and Gardens (Fees) Regulations 2004[1] and the Zoological Parks and Gardens (Fees) Regulations 2006[2] are revoked.

5Amendments to Schedule 3

In Schedule 3 to the Zoological Parks and Gardens Regulations 2003[3]—

(a)in item 1, for "$23.05" substitute "$23.70";

(b)in item 2, for "$11.50" substitute "$11.80";

(c)in item 3, for "$5.70" substitute "$5.85";

(d)in item 4, for "$52.40" substitute "$53.95";

(e)in item 5, for "$17.80" substitute "$18.30";

(f)in item 6—

(i)in Column 2, for "Eligible recipient or eligible beneficiary within the meaning of the State Concessions Act 1986 on presentation of a current pensioner or Health Care Card issued by the Commonwealth Government" substitute "Eligible person within the meaning of the State Concessions Act 2004 on presentation of a current health care card, pensioner concession card or Gold Card issued by the Commonwealth Government";

(ii)in Column 3, for "$17.80" substitute "$18.30".
