Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) (Amendment No. 1) Rules 2008

The Judges of the Supreme Court make the following Rules:

1Object

The object of these Rules is to amend the Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) Rules 2002 to update, in accordance with terminology used in the Corporations Act, a reference to the representative who provides a report on the investments constituting the Investment Fund to the Investment Committee of the Library Committee.

2Authorising provisions

These Rules are made under section 25 of the Supreme Court Act 1986 and all other enabling powers.

3Commencement

These Rules come into operation on 4 August 2008.

4Investment Committee responsible for investments of Investment Fund

In Rule 8(3) of the Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) Rules 2002[1], for "a member of the Australian Stock Exchange of at least 10 years' standing" substitute "a representative of a participant in the financial market operated by ASX Limited, who has a minimum of 15 years' experience providing personal advice concerning securities".
