Road Safety (Vehicles) Amendment (Assignment Fees) Regulations 2008
The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to provide an exemption to licensed tow trucks with respect to vehicle registration number assignment fees.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2009.
4New regulation substituted
For regulation 220(5)(b) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1] substitute—
"(b)the vehicle is licensed under the Transport Act 1983 as a taxi-cab; or
(c)the vehicle is a licensed tow truck within the meaning of the Accident Towing Services Act 2007.".
