Health (Prescribed Accommodation) Amendment Regulations 2008
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Health (Prescribed Accommodation) Regulations 2001 to include all rooming houses as a class of prescribed accommodation that is subject to Division 1 of Part XII of the Health Act 1958.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 213 of the Health Act 1958.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Health (Prescribed Accommodation) Regulations 2001[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4Amendments to definitions
In regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations—
(a)in the definition of residential accommodation, for paragraph (d) substitute—
"(d)a holiday camp; or
(e)a rooming house;";
(b)insert the following definition—
"rooming house has the same meaning as in the Residential Tenancies Act 1997;".
5Prescribed accommodation
In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations, for paragraph (e) substitute—
"(e)holiday camps;
(f)rooming houses."
6Exemptions
In regulation 5(h) of the Principal Regulations, for "accommodated." substitute "accommodated, and which is not a rooming house".
7Amendment to Form 1 in the Schedule
In the Schedule to the Principal Regulations, in Form 1 after "*(e) holiday camp" insert—
"*(f)rooming house".
8Amendment to Form 3 in the Schedule
In the Schedule of the Principal Regulations, in Form 3 after "*(e) a holiday camp" insert—
"*(f)a rooming house".
