Road Safety Act 1986

Road Safety (Vehicles) Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2009

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 to increase certain fees by 3 per cent.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2009.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Fees for transfer of registration

In regulation 237(1)(b) of the Principal Regulations, for "$5.40" substitute "$5.50".

6Fees for registration and renewal of registration

In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, in item 2(b) of the Table for "$7.50" substitute "$7.70".

7Search and extract fees

In Schedule 5 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in items 1, 2, 4 and 5(i), for "$7.80" substitute "$8.00";

(b)in items 3 and 5(ii), for "$14.90" substitute "$15.30".

8Miscellaneous fees

In Schedule 6 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)in item 1, for "$437.50" substitute "$450.50";

(b)in item 2, for "$98.50" substitute "$101.40";

(c)in item 3, for "$14.60" substitute "$15.00";

(d)in item 4, for "$11.50" substitute "$11.80";
