Crimes (Search Warrant) Amendment Regulations 2009
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the form of search warrant in the Crimes (Search Warrant) Regulations 2004 as a consequence of changes to the power to issue a search warrant under section 465 of the Crimes Act 1958.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 465(4) of the Crimes Act 1958.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 3 September 2009.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Crimes (Search Warrant) Regulations 2004[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Schedule amended
(1)In the Schedule to the Principal Regulations, for the following words and expressions—
"Place where search will be conducted for article, thing or material:
(Set out full address of premises to be searched)"
substitute—
"* Place where search will be conducted for article, thing or material:
(Set out full address of premises to be searched)
* Vehicle located in a public place where search will be conducted for article, thing or material:
(Set out identifying details of vehicle to be searched)".
(2)In the Schedule to the Principal Regulations, for the following words and expressions—
"- to break, enter and search any place named or described in this warrant for any article, thing or material of any kind described in this warrant;"
substitute—
"- to break, enter and search any *place/*specified vehicle located in a public place named or described in this warrant for any article, thing or material of any kind described in this warrant;".
(3)In the Schedule to the Principal Regulations for the following words and expressions—
"*Strike out if not applicable"
substitute—
"*Strike out words which are not applicable".
