Local Government (General) Amendment Regulations 2009
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Local Government (General) Regulations 2004 to prescribe a higher total annual remuneration amount for the purpose of the definition of senior officer in section 3 of the Local Government Act 1989.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 243 of the Local Government Act 1989.
3New Part 1A inserted
After Part 1 of the Local Government (General) Regulations 2004[1], insert—
"PART 1ASENIOR OFFICER TOTAL ANNUAL REMUNERATION—
5ATotal annual remuneration for senior officer
For the purpose of the definition of senior officer in section 3 of the Act, the prescribed total annual remuneration amount is $120 000.
