Infringements Act 2006

Infringements (General) Amendment (Lodgeable Infringement Offences) Regulations 2009

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 to prescribe certain infringement offences under the Accident Towing Services Act 2007, Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986 and the Major Sporting Events Act 2009 as lodgeable infringement offences for the purposes of the Infringements Act 2006.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 168 of the Infringements Act 2006.

3Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

4Schedule 3—Liquor Control Reform Act 1998

(1)In item 7.3 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, after "113(1)," insert "113(1A), 113(1B), 113(1C),".

(2)In item 7.4 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, for "130(3)(a) 130(3)(b)" substitute "130A(3)(a), 130A(3)(b)".

5Schedule 4—new items inserted

(1)After the heading to Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations insert—

"1A Accident Towing Services Act 2007

1A.1Sections 6, 7, 8(1), 8(2), 8(3), 9(1), 36, 37, 40(1), 42(1), 42(2), 44(1), 44(2), 45(1), 45(2), 51(1), 51(2), 56(1), 56(2), 98(1), 98(2), 115, 118, 120(1), 120(2), 121(1), 121(2), 142(1), 142(2), 143, 144, 145(1), 145(2)(a), 145(4), 146, 147, 148(1) and 150(1).

1A.2Regulations 14(1), 14(2), 14(4), 16(1), 16(2), 16(3), 16(5), 17 and item 4 of Schedule 1, 17 and item 5 of Schedule 1, 17 and item 6 of Schedule 1, 17 and item 7 of Schedule 1, 17 and item 8 of Schedule 1, 19 and item 1 of Table, 19 and item 2 of Table, 21(3), 22(1)(b), 23, 32(8), 35(6), 35(8), 37(1), 39(1) and 40(1) of the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2008[2].".

(2)After item 7 in Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations insert—

"7A Major Sporting Events Act 2009

7A.1Sections 63, 65, 67(1), 68, 69, 70, 85(1), 85(2) and 85(3).".

6Schedule 4—Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986

After the heading to item 9 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations insert—

"9.1ASection 15A(2).".
