Marine Amendment Regulations 2009

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Marine Regulations 1999 to require an application for registration of a vessel to specify whether an Australian Builders Plate has been fixed to that vessel.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 10 and 105 of the Marine Act 1988.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 26 October 2009.

4Requirements for registration of vessels

(1)In regulation 400(2)(c)(xiv) of the Marine Regulations 1999[1] omit "and".

(2)After regulation 400(2)(c)(xiv) of the Marine Regulations 1999 insert

"(xv)whether an Australian Builders Plate has been fixed to the vessel; and".
