Road Safety (General) Amendment Regulations 2009
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 to prescribe certain offences in the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009 and the Road Safety (Traffic Management) Regulations 2009 to be traffic infringements.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 9 November 2009.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Appropriation of fines
In regulation 84(c)(i)(B) of the Principal Regulations, for "Division 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 of Part 2, Part 4, Part 5 or Part 8 of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999" substitute "Part 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 or 2.7 of Chapter 2, Chapter 4, Chapter 5 or Chapter 8 of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009".
6Schedule 7—Definitions
In Schedule 7 to the Principal Regulations, after "RS(D)R means the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009;" insert—
"RS(TM)R means the Road Safety (Traffic Management) Regulations 2009;
RS(V)R means the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009;".
7Schedule 7—Failing to give way or stop
In column 4 of item 22 of Schedule 7 to the Principal Regulations, after "RR 38," insert "62(1), 63(2), 63(3),".
8Schedule 7—Change of name or address
In column 4 of item 125 of Schedule 7 to the Principal Regulations, after "RS(D)R 67(1)" insert ", RS(V)R 56(1)".
9Schedule 7—Heavy vehicles
After item 9 of Schedule 7 to the Principal Regulations insert—
