Road Safety Road Rules Amendment (Speed-Limit) Rules 2009

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Rules is to make a minor amendment to the penalty for a speeding offence.

2Authorising provision

These Rules are made under section 95D of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Obeying the speed-limit

(1)In rule 20(1) of the Road Safety Road Rules 2009[1] for "35 km per hour or less" (wherever occurring) substitute "less than 35 km per hour".

(2)In the note to rule 20(1) of the Road Safety Road Rules 2009 for "greater than 35 km per hour" substitute "35 km per hour or more".
