Travel Agents Amendment Regulations 2009
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Travel Agents Regulations 2007 to prescribe qualifications for managers of an international travel business.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 48 of the Travel Agents Act 1986.
3Prescribed qualifications and experience of managers
(1)In regulation 14(2)(a) of the Travel Agents Regulations 2007[1] after "completion of" insert
"at least one of".
(2)For regulation 14(2)(a)(i) and (ii) of the Travel Agents Regulations 2007 substitute—
'(i)the Unit of Competency known as THTSOP20A; or
(ii)a unit of competency equivalent to the Unit of Competency known as THTSOP20A comprising the elements—
(A)"Interpret international airfare information"; and
(B)"Construct and cost international airfares and itineraries"; and
(C)"Record customer quotations and administer customer file"; or
(iii)a Unit of Competency known as SITTTSL013A; or
(iv)a unit of competency equivalent to the Unit of Competency known as SITTTSL013A comprising the elements—
(A)"Interpret international airfare information"; and
(B)"Configure air itineraries and cost international airfares"; and
(C)"Construct fares incorporating add‑ons"; and'.
