Fair Trading Amendment Regulations 2009

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are to amend Schedule 3 to the Fair Trading Regulations 2009—

(a)to specify further offences in respect of which an infringement notice may be issued under the Fair Trading Act 1999; and

(b)to prescribe the infringement penalties for those offences.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 165 of the Fair Trading Act 1999.

3Infringement notices and penalties

After item 7 of the Table in Schedule 3 to the Fair Trading Regulations 2009[1] insert—

"7A	section 46(1)	10 penalty units	60 penalty units
7B	section 46(2)	10 penalty units	60 penalty units".
