Road Safety (Drivers) and Road Safety (Vehicles) Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2010

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

PART 1—PRELIMINARY

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009 and the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009 to increase certain fees by 2·25 per cent.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2010.

4General fees

In column 2 of Schedule 5 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009[1]—

(a)in item 5, for "$24.90" substitute "$25.40";

(b)in items 6, 7 and 17, for "$15.00" substitute "$15.30";

(c)in items 8, 12 and 15, for "$19.50" substitute "$19.90";

(d)in items 9(a) and 14, for "$16.10" substitute "$16.40";

(e)in item 9(b), for "$14.90" substitute "$15.20";

(f)in item 10, for "$36.00" substitute "$36.80";

(g)in item 11, for "$39.40" substitute "$40.20";

(h)in item 13, for "$16.40" substitute "$16.70".

5Search and extract fees

In Schedule 6 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009—

(a)in items 1, 2, 4 and 5(a), for "$8.00" substitute "$8.10";

6Fees for transfer of registration

In regulation 103(1)(b) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009[2], for "$5.50" substitute "$5.60".

7Fees for registration and renewal of registration

In column 2 of the Table to Schedule 3 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009, in item 2, for "$7.70" substitute "$7.80".
