Mental Health Amendment Regulations 2010
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to make amendments to the Mental Health Regulations 2008 as a result of the enactment of the HealthPractitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009, which implements the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as a law in Victoria.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 142 of the Mental Health Act 1986.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Mental Health Regulations 2008[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4Definitions
In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations, insert the following definition—
"registered psychologist means a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise in the psychology profession (other than as a student);".
5Prescribed definitions
In regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations—
(a)for paragraph (1)(b), substitute—
"(b)registered psychologists; or";
(b)for paragraph (2)(c), substitute—
"(c)registered psychologists;".
6Treatment plans
For regulation 10(b) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(b)registered psychologists; or".
7Release of patient information
For regulation 43(b) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(b)registered psychologists;".
