The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to—

(a)amend the Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005 to remove an inconsistency between the provision relating to passenger numbers and the provisions of Rule 266 of the Road Safety Road Rules 2009;

(b)amend the Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005 to remove an inconsistency between the provision relating to passenger numbers and the provisions of Rule 266 of the Road Safety Road Rules 2009.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under section 162 of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983.

3Amendment to Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005

In regulation 34(2) of the Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005[1], for "subregulation (1)" substitute "subregulation (1)(b)".

4Amendment to Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005

Regulation 28(2) of the Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005[2] is revoked.
