Rail Safety Act 2006

Rail Safety Amendment Regulations 2010

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Rail Safety Regulations 2006 to make consequential amendments as a result of amendments to the Rail Safety Act 2006, made by Part 4 of the Transport Legislation Amendment Act 2007 for the purposes of facilitating safe rail operations in Victoria.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 110 of the Rail Safety Act2006.

3Application for accreditation

(1)For regulation 6(1)(g) of the Rail Safety Regulations 2006[1] substitute—

"(g)   information identifying potential risks to the safety of rail operations that may require the development of a safety interface agreement.".

(2)At the foot of regulation 6(1) of the Rail Safety Regulations 2006 insert—

"Note

The application must also be accompanied by the relevant fee: see regulation 50(1).".

(3)For regulation 6(2)(g) of the Rail Safety Regulations 2006 substitute—

"(g)   information identifying potential risks to the safety of rail operations that may require the development of a safety interface agreement;".
