Road Safety (Drivers) Amendment (Drug-Driving) Regulations 2010

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009 to provide that demerit points are no longer incurred for a drug-driving offence.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 12 December 2010.

4Schedule 3 amended

Items 3 and 4 of Schedule 3 to the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009[1] are revoked.
