Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Further Amendment Regulations 2010

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2010 to extend the period of registration for caravan parks which are currently registered.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 514, 515 and 516 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.

3Period of registration

For regulation 14(3) of the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2010[1] substitute—

"(3)Renewal of registration of a caravan park takes effect on the day specified in the certificate granted under regulation 13(5).

(4)Renewal of registration of a caravan park expires—

(a)if the renewal of registration takes effect before 1 July, on 31 December in the year that is 2 years after the year in which it takes effect; and

(b)if the renewal of registration takes effect on or after 1 July, on 31 December in the year that is 3 years after the year in which it takes effect.".

4Continuation of registration

In regulation 49(1) of the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2010, for "for the remainder of the period for which it was registered under those Regulations" substitute "until 31 December 2011".
