Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Amendment Regulations 2011

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Regulations 2008—

(a)to reduce levies for certain access licences, aquaculture licences and individual quota units; and

(b)to correct references to fish receiver licences.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 153 of the Fisheries Act 1995.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2011.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Regulations 2008[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Definitions and interpretation

In regulation 4(1) of the Principal Regulations—

(a)in paragraph (b) of the definition of commercial fishery licence, for "a fish receiver's licence" substitute "a fish receiver licence"; and

(b)in the definition of renewable licence, for "fish receiver's licence" substitute "fish receiver licence".

6Levies on commercial fishery access licences

In the heading to regulation 17 of the Principal Regulations omit "commercial fishery".

7Levies on fish receiver's licences

(1)In the heading to regulation 18 of the Principal Regulations, for "fish receiver's licences" substitute "fish receiver licences".

(2)In regulation 18(1) of the Principal Regulations, for "fish receiver's licence" substitute "fish receiver licence".

(3)In regulation 18(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "fish receiver's licence" substitute "fish receiver licence".

8Schedule 2 substituted

For Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations substitute—
