Plumbing Further Amendment Regulations 2011
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Plumbing Regulations 2008 to take into account changes made to the Plumbing Code of Australia, which is adopted by and forms part of those Regulations, and which will come into operation on 1 May 2011.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 221ZZZV and 262 of the Building Act 1993.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 May 2011.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Plumbing Regulations 2008[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Regulation 9 substituted
For regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations substitute—
9Modifications to the PCA'
(1)The PCA is to be read as if—
(a)a reference to a plumbing or drainage installation were a reference to a plumbing or drainage system;
(b)a reference to a plumbing and drainage installation were a reference to a plumbing and drainage system;
(c)a reference to a plumbing installation were a reference to a plumbing or drainage system.
(2)The PCA is to be read as if in paragraph (a) of clause A1.3, "relevant document listed in Table A1.3 as that document is issued, published or remade from time to time" were substituted for "edition or issue, together with any amendment listed in Table A1.3".
(3)The PCA is to be read as if paragraph (d) of clause A1.3 were omitted.
Note
Additional modifications to the PCA are set out in Schedule 2.'.
6Regulation 16 revoked
Regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
7Mechanical Services work defined
In regulation 26(3) of the Principal Regulations for "medical gase" substitute "medical gases".
8Regulation 33 revoked
Regulation 33 of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
9Part 1 of Schedule 2 revoked
Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
10Clause 6 in Part 3 of Schedule 2 revoked
Clause 6 in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
11Part 6 of Schedule 2 revoked
Part 6 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
12Clause 11 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 revoked
Clause 11 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
13Clause 12 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 revoked
Clause 12 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.
14Clause 16 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 substituted
For Clause 16 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations substitute—
'16 Requirement regarding non-drinking water service
The PCA is modified to the extent that AS/NZS 3500.1, as incorporated by the PCA, is to be read as if there were substituted for Clause 9.5.2.3(d)—
"(d)They shall have a non-standard inlet connecting thread and a standard hose connection outlet.".'.
15Clause 17 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 revoked
Clause 17 in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is revoked.

Table of Applied, Adopted or Incorporated Matter Required by the Subordinate Legislation Regulations 2004
Note that the following table of applied, adopted or incorporated matter is included in accordance with the requirements of regulation 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Regulations 2004.
In this table—
National Construction Code Series means the National Construction Code Series published by the Australian Building Codes Board as amended or remade from time to time;
PCA means the Plumbing Code of Australia set out in Volume Three of the National Construction Code Series including any variations or additions in the Appendix Victoria set out in Appendix A of that Volume;
Principal Regulations means the Plumbing Regulations 2008.
