Infringements (General) Amendment Regulations 2011

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006—

(a)to extend the date by which those regulations are due to expire to 17 July 2012; and

(b)to prescribe certain infringement offences under the Control of Weapons Act 1990 as lodgeable infringement offences for the purposes of the Infringements Act 2006.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 168 of the Infringements Act 2006.

3Regulation 43 amended

In regulation 43 of the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006[1], for "17 July 2011" substitute "17 July 2012".

4Amendment of Schedule 3

After item 1AA of Schedule 3 to the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006 insert—

"1AB Control of Weapons Act 1990

1AB.1Sections 6(1), 6(1AA) and 6(1A).".
