Supreme Court (Chapter I Amendment No. 29) Rules 2011

The Judges of the Supreme Court make the following Rules:

1Object

The object of these Rules is to amend Part 5 of Order 58 of Chapter I of the Rules of the Supreme Court to ensure consistency with amendments made to the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 by the Criminal Procedure Amendment (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2009.

2Authorising provisions

These Rules are made under section 25 of the Supreme Court Act 1986 and all other enabling powers.

3Commencement

These Rules come into operation on 8 August 2011.

4Application for rehearing of appeal under section 328 of Children, Youth and Families Act 2005

In the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2005[1]—

(a)Rule 58.31 is revoked;

(b)Forms 58H and 58J are revoked.
